In a directive issued this week, the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board called on relevant units to urgently resolve outstanding issues and strengthen public outreach to build support for site clearance work.
Local authorities in Gia Binh, Luong Tai and Nhan Thang communes, along with the provincial Land Development Centre, were instructed to speed up compensation, relocation and resettlement procedures.

The Gia Binh International Airport project is being implemented under special mechanisms approved by the government and is designed to meet ICAO 4F standards, the highest category for large international airports.
The airport is planned on nearly 2,000 hectares and is expected to handle 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tonnes of cargo annually by 2030. Capacity is projected to rise to 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tonnes of cargo by 2050.
One of the project’s key targets is completing the first phase in time to serve the 2027 APEC summit.
Authorities said land clearance for all agricultural land had been completed, while more than 8,000 households would need to be relocated and resettled for the broader project.
Within the area designated for APEC 2027 facilities, 237 households have agreed to relocate, while nearly 95 per cent have registered for resettlement land allocation.
A separate road project linking the airport directly with Hanoi is also progressing, with construction on the Bac Ninh section expected to begin later this month.
