Ca Mau seeks investors for 96 key development projects

Ca Mau Province has unveiled a list of 96 investment projects for 2026, including power plants, eco tourism zones and urban developments aimed at attracting major investors.

The People’s Committee of Ca Mau Province announced on May 21 that the projects span multiple sectors and are expected to create significant opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses.

In the housing and urban development sector, the province is promoting 20 projects covering more than 878 hectares, with total projected investment exceeding VND 40.6 trillion (approximately USD 1.56 billion).

Major developments include the new urban area in Vinh Trach Ward and Hiep Thanh Ward, covering 205 hectares, and the Nam Can eco tourism and service urban area spanning 169 hectares.

The energy sector includes 21 projects across more than 433 hectares, with estimated investment of over VND 54.5 trillion (approximately USD 2.10 billion). Most projects involve wind power plants, solar farms and electricity substations.

In culture, sports and tourism, the province listed six projects covering more than 3,417 hectares, with projected investment of over VND 6.2 trillion (approximately USD 239 million).

Among the largest are the Dam Thi Tuong eco tourism area, covering 1,985 hectares, and the eco tourism, resort and entertainment project at U Minh Ha National Park, which spans 1,311 hectares.

The environmental sector includes five projects covering more than 41 hectares. One of the key developments is a centralised waste treatment complex, including the Nam Can waste to energy plant, with projected investment of more than VND 1.8 trillion (approximately USD 69 million).

Other planned developments include eight transport infrastructure projects, eight healthcare and education projects, five commercial and service projects, eight agriculture and fisheries projects, and 15 industrial cluster and economic zone infrastructure projects covering nearly 13,000 hectares. Most of these projects are expected to proceed under investor proposed funding plans.

According to provincial authorities, all 96 projects are distributed across communes and wards and align with local land use planning strategies.

Leaders of the Ca Mau provincial administration have assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant agencies and local authorities to promote the projects and attract potential investors in accordance with regulations.
