Bao Loc Pass traffic restricted for landslide repairs

Authorities in Lam Dong Province will temporarily restrict traffic through Bao Loc Pass to allow repair work at landslide sites along National Highway 20.

On May 19, the Lam Dong Department of Construction announced a traffic diversion and control plan for repair works at landslide locations on Bao Loc Pass along National Highway 20.

Traffic restrictions at the affected sections will take effect from May 20 to May 25.

According to the department, authorities will prohibit vehicles from passing through the construction zones during specific time periods. The schedule may be adjusted flexibly depending on actual traffic volume, site conditions and construction requirements in order to minimise prolonged congestion.

Outside the restricted periods, contractors will carry out one-lane construction works from 9 pm on the previous day until 2 pm the following day, while vehicles will still be permitted to travel on the remaining lane.

From 2 pm to 9 pm each day, traffic will be allowed to move normally in both directions on both lanes.

Bao Loc Pass stretches nearly 10km along National Highway 20, running through Ward 3 of Bao Loc and Da Huoai 2 Commune in Lam Dong Province.

Known for its winding curves and mountainous terrain, the pass is a key transport route linking Lam Dong Province with southeastern Vietnam.
