Ma Hao waterfall sits more than 1,200 metres above sea level in a forested area of Linh Son Commune and is known for its cool streams and rugged natural scenery.
During recent hot weather, large numbers of residents and visitors have travelled to the waterfall to cool off and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Visitors can bathe beneath the cold water flowing from the mountain summit, while the surrounding forest provides relief from the summer heat.
A group of tourists were seen taking photographs and swimming in the clear stream running through the rocky landscape.
Cold water from the mountain peak runs over rock faces into the stream below, creating a picturesque natural scene.
“The water here is very cool and clear, and not too deep. It is truly an ideal place to visit and cool off in summer,” Nguyen Cuong, a visitor from Hac Thanh Ward in Thanh Hoa, said.
Local residents and authorities have installed bamboo shelters where visitors can rest, drink water, enjoy snacks and rent inflatable swim rings.
To reach the waterfall, visitors must leave their vehicles outside the site and walk about one kilometre along a concrete path through the forest.
From Ma Hao waterfall, tourists can continue about 10 kilometres deeper into the forest to see terraced rice fields in Yen Khuong and Yen Thang communes during the harvest season.
