Contractors said workers were focusing on finishing the remaining sections in Vy Da Ward after the final construction site was handed over last month.
The project, which includes embankments and a riverside walkway, is expected to connect with the existing pedestrian route along the southern bank of the Huong River, supporting urban renewal and tourism development in the former imperial city.

The 1.6-km walkway project, launched in July 2023, was initially scheduled for completion in June 2024 but faced repeated delays due to site clearance problems and funding disruptions linked to fluctuations in the Japanese yen exchange rate.
Hue authorities later switched to local budget funding to continue the project.
Developed under a Japanese ODA-funded water environment improvement programme, the project has total investment of more than VND 267 billion (USD 10.2 million).
Most of the embankment and walkway sections had been completed by late March, but the route remained unfinished because of unresolved land clearance involving one household.
Local authorities said the family agreed to hand over the site on April 17 after negotiations, becoming the last among 19 affected households to do so.
