According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the country’s tourism sector served an estimated 12 million visitors during the Hung Kings Commemoration and the Reunification Day (April 30)-May Day holidays, up 14.2 per cent from the same period in 2025.

Danang received an estimated 1.46 million visitors in total, nearly 35 per cent more than a year earlier, while tourism revenue rose almost 35 per cent to VND 5.72 trillion (USD 220 million).
Local authorities attributed the strong performance to a series of festivals and events held throughout the holiday period, alongside upgraded tourism offerings.
Danang has also launched its 2026 tourism stimulus programme under the theme Return to Origin, aimed at promoting deeper travel experiences that combine nature, culture and local life.
Officials said the strategy seeks not only to attract visitors but also to encourage longer stays and higher spending.
