A total of 177 road accidents were recorded nationwide during the period, injuring 114 people, according to the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security.

The figures marked a decline from the same holiday period in 2025, with accidents down by 72 cases, fatalities down by 35 and injuries down by 65.
Police said nearly 54,000 traffic violations were recorded during the holiday, with authorities impounding 277 cars, more than 13,000 motorbikes and over 1,000 other vehicles.
More than 11,400 drivers were penalised for drink-driving offences, while nearly 13,400 were cited for speeding.
Traffic patrol units on expressways also detected more than 1,600 violations during the period.
