Authorities are finalising a detailed 1/500 zoning plan for the 423-hectare development, with transport infrastructure positioned as the backbone of the project.
Five road bridges are planned to connect the area to neighbouring wards and major traffic arteries, including routes to Pham Van Dong Boulevard, Thu Duc and An Khanh, while a pedestrian bridge will link the peninsula to the Truong Tho port urban area.

Internal roads will be built with widths of up to nearly 60 metres to ease chronic congestion, currently worsened by the peninsula’s sole access route via Binh Quoi Road and Kinh Bridge.
The Binh Quoi-Thanh Da urban area is planned for about 54,000 residents and will be developed into a modern eco-township with housing, commercial, healthcare, education and tourism facilities, alongside parks and riverside marinas.
The project has an estimated investment of VND 98.71 trillion (USD 3.74 billion), with a strategic investor already selected.
Local authorities are now working with the investor on land surveys, compensation plans, resettlement arrangements and procedures for land acquisition.
