The squad landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 10 am local time on May 1, entering the final phase of their build up to the tournament.
Although official activities begin on May 3, the Vietnam Football Federation arranged for the team to arrive two days early to help players adjust to the time difference, climate and pitch conditions. Head coach Cristiano Roland has focused on ensuring both physical and mental readiness.

The hosts arranged accommodation at the Movenpick Jeddah hotel, which will serve as the team’s base throughout the competition.
After arrival, players followed a structured recovery plan, including rest, a controlled nutrition programme, gym work and light exercises in the hotel pool.

Vietnam are drawn in Group C alongside South Korea, the UAE and Yemen, in what is considered one of the tournament’s toughest groups.
Under the fixture schedule, Vietnam will face Yemen on May 7, South Korea on May 10 and the UAE on May 14.
The top eight teams, along with hosts Qatar, will qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup, adding further significance to the campaign.
