After two weeks since its launch, the photo contest Vietnam in my eyes, organised by Dantri Newspaper in cooperation with VietinBank to mark the 51st anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2026), has received more than 500 entries from readers and photography enthusiasts across the country.
The submissions go beyond artistic expression, reflecting Vietnam’s journey from wartime hardship to a peaceful nation undergoing rapid change in a new era of development.
Entries span a wide range of subjects, from portraits and natural landscapes to everyday life. Many images depict ordinary labour, including farmers in the fields and daily work scenes, creating a sense of intimacy and authenticity.
Several works revisit powerful moments from the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2025), vividly recreating the atmosphere of the commemorative events one year later.
