For this year’s April 30 holiday, Ho Chi Minh City staged fireworks at eight locations, including three high-altitude sites at the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel in An Khanh Ward, the central area of the new city in Binh Duong Ward and Ba Ria Park Square in Ba Ria Ward. Five low-altitude displays were held at Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward, Saigon Marina IFC tower in Sai Gon Ward, the Kim Long villa area near Rach Dia Bridge in Nha Be Commune, the Can Gio coastal tourism urban area at Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio Commune and the Cu Chi Tunnels historical site in An Nhon Tay Commune (Photo: Bao Quyen).

Beneath the brightly lit sky, many families gathered together to savour a solemn and proud moment during one of the nation’s major holidays. “My family returned to our hometown for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, so we stayed in Ho Chi Minh City for the April 30 break.
