Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang has instructed agencies and relevant units to urgently complete the N01 resettlement housing project in the Cau Giay New Urban Area so it can be put into operation as soon as possible.
The project is one of several resettlement housing developments across Hanoi that were left unfinished for years despite nearing completion, resulting in significant waste of public resources.

Construction began in February 2011 and the project has been adjusted six times by the Hanoi People’s Committee. However, it remains incomplete.
Located at the intersection of Duy Tan and Tran Thai Tong streets, the site occupies what is considered prime land in Cau Giay Ward, yet it has remained abandoned for years.
The total investment for the project is around VND 452 billion (approximately USD 17.40 million). The development includes four 15-storey buildings with 299 apartments.
Of these, 257 apartments have been allocated under a proposal from the People’s Committee of Cau Giay Ward for site clearance and resettlement linked to the Ring Road 2.5 project in the ward.
The remaining 42 apartments have been assigned for land clearance related to other projects in Cau Giay and Yen Hoa wards.
During an on-site inspection on April 27, Tran Duc Thang asked the city People’s Committee Party Committee to direct all relevant agencies to urgently complete the final stages of construction and ensure the project is brought into use without further delays.
He said the city should strive for the earliest possible completion and avoid any additional setbacks to the long-stalled development.
