The opening ceremony drew Quang Minh Cuong, secretary of the Quang Ninh Party Committee, along with local officials, residents and tourists.

The highlight of the evening was a high-altitude fireworks display featuring more than 50 layered visual effects, synchronised with music and modern lighting systems.
The fireworks were launched from nearshore points at sea, allowing spectators gathered at the newly opened food street area to watch the show from close range.

The programme opened with a choreographed sailing performance involving six red sailboats, accompanied by music and lighting effects that formed a “dragon of light” across the bay.

Visitors to the complex can enjoy entertainment activities, diverse cuisine, street performances and creative spaces, with vendors offering both local specialities and international flavours.
A 3D mapping show titled Long Van Khanh Hoi is scheduled to debut at the Lighthouse area in May, using advanced projection technology to tell the story of the heritage region.

Local authorities expect the new complex to enhance Quang Ninh’s tourism offerings and support year-round, sustainable tourism development.

The project is part of Quang Ninh’s broader push to expand its night-time economy and help meet its 2026 targets of 22 million visitors, including 5.2 million foreign tourists, and VND 55 trillion (USD 2.1 billio) in tourism revenue.
