The ceremony began at 7 am on April 26 or the 10th day of the third lunar month, marking the annual Hung Kings Commemoration Day, one of the country’s most important national observances.

Lam and the delegation proceeded up Nghia Linh Mountain, where the Hung Kings are worshipped, in a solemn procession honouring the nation’s ancestral founders and commemorating their role in the country’s formation.
