The Dong Thap Muoi Museum will cover more than 7.8 hectares at the Go Thap National Relic Site in Doc Binh Kieu Commune.
The project includes more than 5 hectares of museum construction space, featuring 2 hectares of outdoor exhibition areas, a 5,000-square-metre performance stage and supporting infrastructure.

The museum will feature three main themes the ancient Funan Kingdom and Oc Eo culture; the natural history of the Dong Thap Muoi region; and the social history and lives of residents in the wetland area.
Virtual reality and augmented reality technologies will be used extensively to recreate land reclamation in the region, its distinctive floodplain ecosystem and historic battles associated with national heroes Vo Duy Duong and Nguyen Tan Kieu.
Nguyen Binh Minh, deputy director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the project had been included in Dong Thap’s medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period.
Construction is expected to run from 2026 to 2030.
