Hanoi to stage fireworks display on April 28

Hanoi will hold a fireworks display on the evening of April 28 at My Dinh National Stadium and the F1 race track to mark several major national events.

According to the plan, the artistic performance combined with fireworks is being organised to celebrate the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The event will also commemorate several important historical milestones, including the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the 140th International Workers’ Day, the 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 136th birth anniversary of Ho Chi Minh, and the 67th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the traditional day of the Truong Son soldiers.

The fireworks display will take place at My Dinh National Stadium and the nearby F1 race track in Tu Liem Ward.

Pyrotechnic fireworks will be installed on the roof of Stand B at My Dinh National Stadium, while both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks will be launched from the F1 race track area.

The display is scheduled to begin at 8.10 pm on April 28.

It will serve as the opening programme for a series of special artistic events set to begin at 8 pm the same day at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
