For the April 30-May 1 break, arrivals are projected at about 389,000, more than double a year earlier, including around 80,000 international visitors. Revenue is expected at VND 870 billion, with 108,200 overnight stays and average occupancy of 83 per cent, rising to about 97 per cent at peak.

A highlight is the Imperial City of Hue opening free at night from April 25-28, hosting the “Mystical Imperial Palace” programme featuring royal-themed performances, light shows and immersive cultural experiences.

The programme includes ceremonial reenactments at Ngo Mon Gate and Thai Hoa Palace, royal guard displays, a palace market and cultural spaces across historic sites.

Other activities include traditional court games, ao dai and hanbok performances, virtual reality experiences exploring the ancient palace, and Hue cuisine showcases.

Localities in Hue are also organising events, including the “Thuan An-The Sea Calls” programme in Thuan An Ward, part of the Hue Festival, featuring cultural displays, culinary spaces and live performances to promote local heritage and tourism potential.
