According to Tran Ngoc Dong Quan, head of the Travel Management Division at the city’s Department of Tourism, the sector had rolled out stimulus programmes, diversified products and strengthened service links to meet peak holiday demand.
Travel firms have introduced themed tours combining cultural and historical experiences with high-quality services, using multiple modes of transport including road, river and metro.
Highlights include “Saigon Special Forces” tours, vintage car rides and trips linking the city centre with Can Gio and Cu Chi, alongside eco-tourism, wellness products and helicopter tours paired with luxury river cruises.
For river tourism, a series of dinner cruises with fireworks viewing will be available, alongside afternoon tea, sunset cruises and traditional performances.
Signature city tours, including those centred on Binh Tay Market and Tan Dinh, have been refreshed, while the Vietnam Bread Festival 2026 will feature around 150 booths showcasing traditional and modern banh mi.
Authorities said efforts had been stepped up to ensure service quality, with businesses required to publicly list prices and avoid overcharging or discrimination against tourists.
Fireworks will be staged from 9 pm-9.15 pm on April 30 at eight locations across the city, including three high-altitude displays and five low-altitude sites.
