According to police in Phu Van Ward, a local resident found a leather wallet containing cash and identification documents on Ly Thuong Kiet Street and handed it over to authorities.
The police quickly verified the owner, identified as Hwang Yong Ju, a South Korean national, temporarily residing in the ward, after checking local accommodation facilities and nearby areas.
The wallet was subsequently returned in full to its owner.
The South Korean man expressed his gratitude, writing a letter thanking the finder and local police for their prompt assistance and sense of responsibility.
