A 20-second video circulating on Facebook showed the group riding recklessly in Nguyet Hoa Ward, throwing powder as they drove. The clip drew widespread attention and criticism online, with many warning of the danger to passing traffic.
Police said they had clarified the individuals involved and explained the risks and legal implications of such behaviour, including violations of road safety regulations. Vehicle information and licence conditions are also being checked.
Authorities said strict action would be taken once evidence is fully verified.
Traffic police urged road users, particularly young people, to comply with traffic laws and avoid dangerous behaviour, calling on families and schools to strengthen supervision and education on road safety.
