Local authorities in Cam Duong Ward said the animal, measuring more than two metres long, was discovered by a resident on the afternoon of April 16 and later safely removed.
After being captured, the python was handed to ward police before being transferred to forest rangers for identification and handling.

An eyewitness, Tran Duong, said the incident occurred at about 5 pm in the F3 Bac Cuong area. The driver had travelled from Coc San Commune and noticed unusual noises from the front of the vehicle after arriving home.

When he opened the bonnet to inspect, he found the large python inside the engine compartment, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
Authorities said it remains unclear how the animal managed to enter the car’s engine area.
