The flight landed at 2.05 pm at Danang International Airport, carrying nearly 220 passengers to the coastal city.

The programme will run from April 16 to October 23, connecting eight cities across Russia, the CIS and Belarus with Danang. Total arrivals are expected to reach about 25,500, with up to 36 flights per month, or roughly 4,800 passengers.

During the peak period from May 15 to September 30, capacity is set to increase to around 11,000 visitors per month, with demand for about 1,800 hotel rooms per night.

Nguyen Thi Hoai An, deputy director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the inaugural flight was welcomed with ceremonies, flower presentations, lion dances and media activities to create a strong first impression.

The expansion into the Russian and CIS markets is expected to support the recovery of international tourism, boost local growth and improve the efficiency of accommodation and service systems.

Anex Tour Vietnam said it will continue working with authorities, aviation partners and service providers to improve product quality, expand markets and attract more international visitors to the city.
