Tan Son Nhat International Airport is expected to handle about 130,000 passengers a day, up 8 per cent, with 760 flights. Con Dao Airport is projected to serve around 3,200 passengers daily, up 36 per cent, with 46 flights, an increase of 37 per cent.

Demand across other transport modes is also set to grow. Metro Line 1, Ben Thanh to Suoi Tien, is expected to increase services and extend operating hours, carrying an estimated 87,445 passengers per day during the holiday, up 10 per cent.

Interprovincial bus travel is forecast to reach nearly 90,000 passengers daily, up 6 per cent, while rail transport is expected to see a slight decline to about 6,742 passengers per day.

Authorities have instructed transport operators to prepare traffic management plans, ensure sufficient vehicles and staffing, and coordinate closely at key hubs such as airports, bus stations, railway terminals and city gateways.

Enforcement agencies will also step up inspections and handle violations to maintain traffic safety and ease congestion throughout the holiday period.
