The trip, running from April 11 to 17, is made at the invitation of IPU President Tulia Ackson and Secretary General Martin Chungong.
The delegation includes senior officials such as NA Secretary General Le Quang Manh, Chairman of the Council for Ethnic Affairs Lam Van Man, and Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs Nguyen Dac Vinh, along with defence and public security leaders and representatives of several localities.
Also joining are Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang, Deputy Auditor General Bui Quoc Dung, and Vietnam’s ambassadors to Italy and Turkey.
This is the first overseas trip by Tran Thanh Man since the 14th National Party Congress, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the consolidation of the state apparatus for the new term.
The visit reflects Vietnam’s efforts to advance its foreign policy priorities, reinforce its role in multilateral forums and affirm its commitment to international law.
It also underscores the country’s continued engagement with the Inter Parliamentary Union and its intention to deepen ties with Italy and Turkey, two key partners, in a more substantive and effective manner.
