The incident occurred at around 5 am when train SE21 completed its journey from Danang and arrived at Saigon Station.
During routine cleaning and post-journey checks, an attendant discovered a wallet on a sleeper berth and immediately reported it to the train supervisor.
The wallet contained VND 29.35 million (approximately USD 1,150), which was counted and recorded in the presence of staff before being securely stored.
Using passenger records, the crew identified the owner and contacted her shortly after she had left the station. Following verification procedures, the full amount was returned.
The passenger said she had forgotten the wallet in a hurry and expressed gratitude to railway staff for their honesty and professionalism.
