According to a decision issued on April 9 by the provincial People’s Committee, the trip aims to assess advanced metro technologies and support long-term planning for urban rail development in Dong Nai Province.
The delegation will include seven members and one interpreter, with a five-day working schedule from April 15 to 19. The visit will focus on technologies developed by Hitachi Rail, particularly in rolling stock and manufacturing processes.
In addition, the group will engage in in-depth discussions on system integration, planning, construction and operation of metro networks. A key objective is to identify solutions to ensure seamless connectivity between Dong Nai’s future urban transport projects and the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line.
The move reflects the province’s proactive approach to adopting advanced global transport models, as demand for infrastructure development and regional connectivity continues to grow.
With major projects such as Long Thanh International Airport and key expressways taking shape, investment in metro systems is seen as a strategic step to ease traffic congestion and improve passenger transport capacity.
