The programme, held on April 8 in coordination with the Vietnam Tourism Association, drew tour operators from eight countries and territories, including South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Myanmar and Hong Kong.
Delegates visited key sites including Tam Dao, Tay Thien, the Hung Kings Temple complex and Hung Lo Communal House, while experiencing Xoan singing and traditional rice cake making, gaining deeper insight into the province’s heritage and tourism potential.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu said Phu Tho aims to make tourism a key economic sector, positioning itself as a leading cultural and festival hub and a top destination for heritage, spiritual and eco-resort travel in northern Vietnam.
He added that the province is focusing on building a safe, friendly and professional tourism environment, advancing digital transformation and improving service quality, while pledging support for businesses and investors.
Phu Tho is shaping a tourism structure centred on three pillars: spiritual tourism linked to Hung Kings worship, high-end resort and sports tourism, and community-based cultural tourism, integrated into a broader ecosystem to boost competitiveness and growth.
The famtrip is expected to help international operators develop new itineraries combining cultural, spiritual and eco-tourism products, while opening opportunities to attract a wider range of international visitors.
Last year, Phu Tho welcomed about 14.5 million visitors, including 13.82 million domestic and 676,000 international arrivals, generating VND 14.8 trillion (USD 563 million) in tourism revenue.
In the first quarter of this year, the province is estimated to have received 4.65 million visitors, including more than 277,000 international arrivals, generating about VND 5.05 trillion in tourism revenue.
