In late March, visitors arriving via Vo Nguyen Giap and 3/2 streets in Phuoc Thang Ward are greeted by dense paper flower trees along central medians, creating a colourful gateway linking Ba Ria to the seaside destination.

Locals say the flowers peak at this time of year, with bright pink blooms forming a continuous flower road.

The routes also feature hundreds of mature paper flower trees, 3-4 metres tall and over a decade old, pruned into dense, rounded crowns.

The trees are maintained regularly, with watering and trimming ensuring consistent growth and bloom, complemented by neatly kept grass and greenery along the medians.

Many visitors have expressed appreciation for the enhanced streetscape. Some, however, noted that the flowers are located on central medians between traffic lanes, making it difficult and potentially unsafe to stop for photos.

The paper flower-lined routes enhance the urban landscape and serve as a welcoming visual signature, while areas such as Ba Ria, Long Hai and Phuoc Hai have also seen upgrades to infrastructure and landscaping to boost tourism.

Notably, Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal road (Route 994) in Long Hai has recently been expanded to six lanes, with flowers and greenery planted along the median, contributing to a more modern and attractive seaside corridor.
