The announcement was confirmed on March 25 by the Miss World Organisation, with the upcoming edition set to celebrate the pageant’s milestone anniversary.

Organisers said the event is expected to bring together between 100 and 130 contestants from around the world. Beyond a beauty contest, Miss World 2026 is positioned as a large-scale cultural showcase highlighting Vietnam’s heritage, people and tourism potential.
Promotional materials describe Vietnam as a land of heritage, beauty and aspiration, with the competition set to include fashion showcases, sports challenges, talent performances and community-driven projects.
Julia Morley, chairwoman and chief executive of the Miss World Organisation, is expected to visit Vietnam alongside reigning Miss World Opal Suchata for an official announcement at the Miss World Vietnam national final on March 29.
Local organiser Sen Vang Company, the rights holder of the franchise, has been appointed to stage the global event. Further details, including the timeline and key venues, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Vietnam will be represented by Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, winner of Miss Intercontinental 2022 and first runner-up at Miss World Vietnam 2022.
Standing at 1.86 metres, Bao Ngoc is considered a strong contender thanks to her international experience, academic achievements and community work. She holds an IELTS score of 8.0 and graduated with honours in business administration.
Hosting the pageant is widely seen as a milestone for Vietnam’s beauty and events industries, offering an opportunity to strengthen its position on the global stage while boosting tourism, cultural promotion and the development of creative sectors.
With preparations under way, anticipation is building for a landmark edition of Miss World that reflects Vietnam’s identity and global ambitions.
