Xuan Son tops Vietnam squad in market value rankings

Naturalised striker Nguyen Xuan Son has been named the most valuable player in Vietnam’s national team for the March 2026 training camp, while Hoang Hen ranks seventh, according to Transfermarkt.

Xuan Son, who plays for Nam Dinh FC, is valued at EUR 600,000. He is followed by Jason Pendant at EUR 500,000, while goalkeeper Nguyen Filip and midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai are both valued at EUR 400,000.

Hoang Hen, formerly known as Hendrio Araujo da Silva before naturalisation, is valued at EUR 325,000.

Among domestically born players, Nguyen Quang Hai is the highest-valued at EUR 400,000.

Head coach Kim Sang-sik has called up both Xuan Son and Hoang Hen for the March training camp, with the pair expected to strengthen Vietnam’s attacking options after playing together at club level.

Vietnam will face Bangladesh national football team in a friendly at Hang Day stadium on March 26 before taking on Malaysia national football team at Thien Truong stadium on March 31 in qualifiers for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
