Additional trains will operate on several key routes. On the Ho Chi Minh City-Quy Nhon line, train SE30 will depart from Ho Chi Minh City on April 24, 25, 29, 30 and May 1, while the return service SE29 will leave Quy Nhon on April 26, 27, 30 and May 2 and 3.

On the Ho Chi Minh City-Nha Trang route, train SNT4 will depart on April 24, 29 and 30, with an additional SNT6 service on April 29.

For the Nha Trang-Ho Chi Minh City section, extra services include train SNT5 departing on April 27 and May 2 and 3, along with train SNT3 on May 2.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to arrive at stations 30 minutes to one hour before departure to avoid missing trains. Travellers are also encouraged to bring compact luggage, limited to 20kg per ticket, and comply with safety regulations.

In 2026, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day falls on April 26. As it coincides with a Sunday, workers will receive a compensatory day off on April 27, creating a three-day break from April 25 to 27.

The Reunification Day on April 30 and International Workers’ Day on May 1 fall on a Thursday and Friday. For those not working Saturdays, this results in a four-day holiday from April 30 to May 3.

The two holiday periods are close together, with only two working days in between, likely contributing to increased travel demand.
