According to local police in Chu Se Commune, the fire broke out at around 3 pm in a house in Hamlet 5. Residents spotted the blaze and alerted authorities.
Police and emergency services arrived to extinguish the fire. Upon entering the house, they found two girls, aged five and seven, had died.
The victims were sisters living with their grandmother while their parents worked away from home. At the time of the incident, the grandmother had left the house and locked the door, leaving the children inside.
Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
