The trees are being planted across the village and surrounding areas, with local residents working in groups to dig holes, plant saplings and install supports to ensure healthy growth.

Vi Ro Ngheo has emerged as a popular destination in recent years, helping preserve traditional culture while creating livelihoods and raising incomes for the Xo Dang ethnic community.

The initiative is expected to form a cherry blossom valley, further boosting the village’s appeal to visitors.

Home to around 300 Xo Dang people, the village lies among mountains and forests along the Dak S’Nghe River, near the Upper Kon Tum hydropower reservoir. Surrounded by the Ngoc Ruong mountain range and primary forest, the area is known for its rich ecosystem and scenic landscape.

The village also maintains traditional practices, including new rice celebrations, communal house rituals and water worship ceremonies, while stilt houses and granaries remain a distinctive feature of local life.
