The Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Centre said temperatures will range from 22-25 degrees Celsius at night, dipping below 22 degrees in some areas, and rising to 31-34 degrees during the day, with eastern provinces possibly exceeding 35 degrees.

In Ho Chi Minh City, temperatures are forecast at 23-25 degrees, climbing to 32-34 degrees, with some areas above 34 degrees.

Over the next 24-48 hours, a continental cold high from southeastern China will shift east then south, compressing the low-pressure trough, while upper-level high pressure remains stable and continues to strengthen.

Over the next three to 10 days, these patterns are expected to persist, with the subtropical high strengthening and extending across southern Vietnam before gradually shifting north towards central regions.

As a result, southern Vietnam is likely to see prolonged sunshine, with temperatures in some areas exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. Low humidity may increase dryness and the risk of fires.
