Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines have been named the official carriers of Hue Festival 2026 under a sponsorship agreement signed with the festival organising committee on March 17.
Under the agreement, the two airlines will provide support worth more than VND 1.1 billion (about USD 43,000), helping to enhance connectivity and promote the image of Hue City to domestic and international visitors. They will assist in transporting international art troupes, delegates, invited guests and personnel participating in festival activities.
The airlines will also coordinate with organisers on promotional and communication campaigns to expand awareness of the festival both in Vietnam and abroad. Their brand images will appear across festival programmes, publications and media platforms at various venues.
Hue Festival 2026 is part of the Hue International Arts Festival, held under the theme “cultural heritage with integration and development”. The year-long programme began with the announcement ceremony and a re-enactment of the royal Ban Soc ritual on January 1, 2026, and will conclude with a new year countdown event on December 31, 2026.
Key highlights include the Royal Palace by Night programme scheduled for April 25-28, and Hue International Arts Festival Week 2026 from June 13 to 18, featuring performances by Vietnamese and international artists.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Tran Huu Thuy Giang, vice chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, praised the long-standing support of the two airlines, noting their role in promoting the cultural heritage of the former imperial capital and boosting local tourism.
Their participation in Hue Festival 2026 highlights the aviation sector’s role in strengthening destination connectivity, promoting Vietnamese cultural values and enhancing the country’s position on the global tourism map.
