Vietnam Airlines is using larger wide-body aircraft on several Europe-bound services to add more seats during the peak travel period, prioritising the Airbus A350 for its higher seating capacity.

In March 2026, the airline will switch 11 flight pairs between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Munich to Airbus A350 aircraft.

The move is expected to increase capacity on routes between Vietnam and Europe and better accommodate rising passenger demand.

Vietnam Airlines said its Europe-bound flights are currently operating safely along appropriate air corridors that avoid areas affected by conflict.

The carrier added that it is closely monitoring developments and will adjust operations when necessary to ensure safe and stable services.

The airline said the measure aims to maintain reliable air links between Vietnam and Europe while supporting travel demand as well as trade, tourism and cooperation.
