The Danang People’s Committee has approved a proposal from the Danang Department of Construction to continue displaying the mascots after the conclusion of decorations under the city’s 2026 Lunar New Year flower and lighting project.
The two horse mascots will be relocated to the lake area on Thanh Dien Hai Street in front of the Danang Administrative Centre, as well as the pavement area near the T-shaped bridge.
They will remain on display until the end of September, after which they will be removed to ensure safety ahead of the storm and rainy season.
Meanwhile, smaller mascot models used during the Lunar New Year decoration project will be handed over to local schools for display on their campuses.
City authorities have assigned the Department of Construction to oversee the relocation and ensure the assets are used efficiently, while local administrations will coordinate with schools to manage them in line with regulations.
