The incident occurred on March 5 when officers from the domestic security control team discovered an unattended white backpack while patrolling Terminal 1 at the airport.

After checking the bag, authorities found several valuable items inside, including USD 5,000, nearly 40,000 roubles, a mobile phone and various personal documents.

Airport security officials worked with relevant authorities to verify the owner, who was identified as an Indian male passenger.

The tourist had visited Vietnam before taking a VietJet Air flight from Danang to Ho Chi Minh City and then connecting to another flight back to India.

The domestic security control team coordinated with representatives of the airline and other relevant units to return the property to the passenger.

After being informed that his lost belongings had been found, the tourist expressed surprise and later sent a letter thanking officers at Danang International Airport for their assistance.
