In a notice issued early on March 8 (Vietnam time), the embassy said the Vietnamese community in Israel had so far reported no casualties or property damage and had complied with instructions from local authorities.

Vietnamese citizens across Israel were urged to follow safety regulations issued by the country’s Home Front Command, effective from 8 pm on March 7 to 8 pm on March 9 local time.

According to the Vietnam News Agency’s correspondent in Tel Aviv, the embassy asked the community to pay close attention to several safety measures.

Mass gatherings of up to 50 people are permitted provided the venue has access to a standard shelter during emergency alerts.

Beaches have been temporarily closed to the public, while all educational activities, including schools, nurseries and training programmes, have been suspended.

Agencies, businesses and workplaces are allowed to operate only if they have access to a standard shelter during alert periods.

Essential economic sectors and services continue to function in line with regulations issued by Israeli authorities.

During emergency alerts, people are required to quickly move to the nearest shelter upon hearing sirens or receiving official warnings.

Priority should be given to safe rooms, communal shelters or public shelters, and individuals should remain there until authorities announce that it is safe to leave.

Those outdoors or travelling are advised to seek the nearest shelter and follow instructions from local authorities.

The embassy urged Vietnamese citizens to strictly comply with safety guidance, take proactive measures to protect themselves and their families, and regularly monitor official updates from Israel’s Home Front Command and relevant agencies.

It added that the embassy will continue monitoring the situation closely and provide timely updates to the Vietnamese community.
