From early morning until late at night, traders at the market work continuously to receive shipments, sort flowers and arrange bouquets to meet the surge in demand from customers and visitors.

The market serves as the city’s main wholesale supply hub for fresh flowers, where flower shops, florists and event organizers regularly come to purchase large quantities.

Hundreds of flower varieties are available, including roses, orchids, lilies and sunflowers. Most of the flowers are sourced from Da Lat and provinces in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, while some are imported from overseas.
Thuy, a flower vendor at the market, said demand rises sharply every year as people buy flowers to give to women in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Besides local residents, many foreign tourists also visit Ho Thi Ky flower market to explore, take photos and shop for flowers. The market often becomes even more crowded in the evening as customers stop by after work.

Established in 1987, the market initially operated on a small scale to serve local flower traders and residents. Over the years, it has expanded into one of the most well-known wholesale flower markets in Ho Chi Minh City.
