The Nhat Le Border Post under the provincial Border Guard said the incident occurred at about 6.30 am in the estuary area of Dong Hoi Ward.

Fishing vessel QB-11288TS, owned by Dao Duy Sang, 52, ran aground while navigating the estuary. Amid high waves and strong winds, the vessel capsized.
Seven crew members were on board at the time. All were wearing life jackets and managed to swim ashore. Five were reported in stable condition, while two others were exhausted and taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
However, one of the two, who was 19-year-old, later died despite medical efforts. The remaining hospitalised fisherman is still receiving treatment.
Authorities arrived at the scene to assess the situation, coordinate salvage operations and handle the case in accordance with regulations.
