Vietnam Railways has announced additional SE27 and SE18 services on the Hanoi-Danang line to meet strong passenger demand following the Tet holiday.

According to the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, although the Tet Binh Ngo 2026 travel period is scheduled to run until March 8, demand on the Hanoi-Danang section has remained elevated. From March 9, the operator will run extra SE27 and SE18 trains to serve passengers.
Train SE27 will operate from Hanoi to Danang, departing Hanoi station at 8.05 pm on March 9 and on selected dates from March 11 to April 12, 2026. In the opposite direction, train SE18 will run from Danang to Hanoi, leaving Danang station at 6.45 pm on March 10 and on selected dates from March 12 to April 13, 2026.
Ticket prices for SE27 and SE18 vary depending on seat type, direction and date of departure.
On SE27 services at the start of the week, four berth sleeper tickets are priced at around VND 1.131 million to VND 1.230 million (approximately USD 45 to USD 49) per ticket. VIP two berth cabins cost about VND 2.461 million (USD 98) per berth.
At weekends, SE27 fares rise to between VND 1.321 million and VND 1.401 million (about USD 53 to USD 56) per ticket, while VIP berths cost around VND 2.803 million (about USD 112).
For SE18 services early in the week, four berth sleeper tickets range from VND 808,000 to VND 915,000 (USD 32 to USD 37) per ticket. VIP berths are priced at about VND 1.760 million (USD 70).
At weekends, SE18 sleeper fares increase to between VND 1.351 million and VND 1.473 million (USD 54 to USD 59) per ticket, while VIP berths remain at VND 1.760 million (USD 70).
The railway operator said passengers travelling on SE27 and SE18 will continue to receive all applicable ticket discounts under current regulations.
