The Hanoi Urban Transport Management and Operation Centre (Tramoc) said the changes aim to make travel more convenient for commuters from inner districts and neighbouring areas to the hi-tech zone.
On March 1, Tramoc will add three supplementary routes linking the park and increase the frequency of one existing service.
Bus route 88, running from My Dinh Bus Station to Hoa Lac and Xuan Mai, will see its frequency rise from 21-25 minutes per trip (86 trips per day) to 15-20 minutes per trip (104 trips per day).
Route 89, connecting Yen Nghia Bus Station and Son Tay Bus Station, will also have its frequency increased from 22-30 minutes per trip (83 trips per day) to 20-25 minutes per trip (96 trips per day), enhancing links with Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park.
Two large electric bus services will be added. Route E07TC will operate from Long Bien to Hoa Lac following the existing E07 alignment. During phase one (March 1-31, 2026), buses will run every 30 minutes, increasing to every 20 minutes from April 1, 2026. Route E06TC will run from Giap Bat Bus Station to Hoa Lac along the E06 corridor, with a frequency of 30 minutes per trip. Both services will operate daily from 5 am to 9 pm.
Following the adjustments, nine routes will connect to Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park, including eight subsidised services, 74, 88, 107, 117, 119, 89, E06TC and E07TC, and one non-subsidised route, 71.
Total daily trips will rise to 875, an increase of 246 trips per day, with service intervals ranging from 10 to 30 minutes.
