The provincial People’s Committee said the blaze broke out at about 5 pm near Co Cave. The vessel had 30 passengers and 11 crew members on board at the time.
The captain and crew quickly evacuated all tourists and coordinated with nearby support forces. Authorities confirmed that all passengers and crew were safe and in stable condition.

Following the incident, vice chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Hanh, together with representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Foreign Affairs, visited to provide assistance and reassurance to affected tourists.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
