The incident occurred in the afternoon when a male buffalo displaying erratic behaviour appeared in Bich La Dong and Nai Cuu hamlets and attacked bystanders, leaving two injured.
Following the attack, the animal ran into a residential garden, sparking alarm among local residents.
Tran Anh Vu, chairman of the Lao Bao Commune People’s Committee, said the buffalo belonged to a household in Xi Nuc Hamlet.
Local authorities are working with the owner to implement measures to prevent similar incidents.
