His opponent in the final, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, was a highly rated contender and the tournament’s reigning runner-up.
With confident shot-making and tactical versatility, Hoang raced to a 3-0 lead. Although Ruiz narrowed the gap to 6-4, Hoang held his nerve to seal a 7-4 win and claim the title.

With the victory, Duong Quoc Hoang became the first Vietnamese and Asian player to win the Premier League Pool. He received a prize of USD 25,000, marking an impressive start to 2026.
“I am very happy with this championship. I want to thank everyone,” Hoang said after the match.
The Premier League Pool 2026 featured 16 of the world’s top players and was held in Florida, United States, from February 19 to February 23. The competition included a group stage followed by knockout rounds, with Hoang playing across four consecutive days to secure the historic triumph.
