The Hanoi Transport Corporation, known as Transerco, said it plans to run 49,859 bus trips from February 14 to February 22, covering the peak Tet period. Services will be adjusted flexibly before, during and after the holiday depending on passenger demand.

Buses will run on normal timetables until February 12 and again from February 23. A holiday schedule will apply from February 13 to February 22.

On Lunar New Year’s Day, February 17, about 2,381 services will operate between 10 am and 6 pm. Operations will then increase gradually, reaching more than 8,400 services on the sixth day of Tet.

Transerco said the expanded schedule was designed to maintain stable operations and meet residents’ travel needs during the busiest holiday period.
