
The five sites include An Xuyen Ward, at the provincial conference centre, Bac Lieu Ward, at Hung Vuong Square, Phuoc Long Commune, at the embankment opposite the communal cultural centre, Song Doc Town, at the monument commemorating the 1954 regrouping ships to the north, and Dat Mui Commune, at the Khai Long tourism area.
The displays will take place following a New Year message delivered by the provincial chairman.
Local authorities have been instructed to align cultural and entertainment programmes with the schedule to ensure the fireworks are launched simultaneously across the province.
Elsewhere, towns and communes are decorating central areas and main streets while organising Tet activities. In Bac Lieu Ward, events scheduled from February 11 to February 14 include the opening of a spring festival, folk games, dance performances, art contests and traditional banh tet wrapping competitions.
Leaders in Bac Lieu Ward are also visiting and presenting Tet gifts to policy families, people with meritorious service and other beneficiaries.
