
The event, held at government headquarters, brought together ambassadors, chargés d’affaires and heads of international organisations in Vietnam, along with spouses.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse Le Thi Bich Tran welcomed Saadi Salama, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam and Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam.


Some guests wore Vietnam’s traditional ao dai, while the venue featured red calligraphy couplets and Dong Ho folk paintings, reflecting Tet cultural traditions.

A welcoming arts programme, conducted by the conductor Dong Quang Vinh, included performances celebrating the spring season and Vietnam’s Lunar New Year customs.

Speaking on behalf of Party general secretary To Lam and Vietnam’s senior leadership, the prime minister thanked ambassadors, international organisations and partners, and expressed gratitude to governments and peoples worldwide for their support for Vietnam in national development and defence.
Reflecting on the past year, Pham Minh Chinh said 2025 had been marked by “many abnormalities and uncertainties”, but argued that peace, cooperation and development remained the main current connecting nations.

He called on ambassadors and representatives of international organisations in Vietnam to strengthen solidarity, cooperation and dialogue.

Saadi Salama said Vietnam was entering an impressive stage of development, describing it as a period of renewed ambition, stronger innovation, improved growth quality and a greater focus on unlocking human potential, while opening more modern and sustainable directions for the future.



Guests also visited a recreated “traditional Tet countryside market” space in the lobby of government headquarters.

A display of to he figurines, shaped by artisan Dang Van Hau, drew particular attention.
