During the Tet peak, the airport is forecast to handle about 145,000 passengers a day, with traffic on the busiest days topping 165,000.
The airport is expected to handle about 146,000 passengers and over 900 flights a day during the peak, up 25 per cent from current schedules and 7 per cent from the 2025 Tet peak, driven mainly by domestic routes.

Ahead of Tet, the busiest days are forecast for February 13-14, when daily flights could reach about 1,017, driven mainly by outbound domestic travel.
After the holiday, peak traffic is expected on February 22-23, with up to 1,025 flights a day as travellers return to Ho Chi Minh City.
On average, the airport is expected to serve about 85,000 domestic and 60,000 international passengers a day during Tet, roughly 20 per cent higher than normal days.
Elsewhere, Con Dao Airport is forecast to handle about 30 flights and nearly 1,800 passengers a day during the Tet peak, rising to as many as 34 flights a day after the holiday.
City authorities have ordered transport, aviation and security agencies to step up coordination on traffic, crowd control and public transport to ease congestion at major transport hubs.
